Herndon, VA & Salt Lake City, UT, November 14, 2023 – BSI, which provides international product testing, has announced a strategic collaboration with Nelson Labs, a global leader in outsourced microbiological and analytical chemistry testing and advisory services for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
The collaboration is designed to bring manufacturers added benefits, such as strengthening supply chains for personal protective equipment (PPE) products, including masks. It is intended to also help organizations to navigate the complex regulatory and product certification process around the world.
The alliance draws on BSI’s status as a global PPE certification body, through which it supports organizations to access markets, including the UK, EU, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Australasia, and Nelson Labs’ leadership in product testing in the medical and biopharma sectors.
The alliance will initially focus on respirators, leveraging BSI’s ability to test to the latest EN and ISO standards and Nelson Labs’ NIOSH N95 pre-submission test services.
